Former Edo State Commissioner for Information Kassim Afegbua has explained why Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, would not succeed in court against Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the incoming president.

According to Kassim Afegbua, Tinubu, his principal, is ready to go head-to-head with Peter Obi and Atiku in court and that the Labour Party’s lack of party agents will make it difficult for Peter Obi to prevail.

Commenting about the significance of party agents, Kassim Afegbua stated that agents from all political parties remain constantly present after the voting process has concluded and the counting of results has begun. According to him, the party agents always validate the final results after counting by signing in the space designated for them on the result sheet, after which a copy is delivered to them.

Afterwards, he continued, the party agents head to the ward collation center to compare all the results, and if there are any discrepancies, they are ironed out. He claimed that some of the agents weren’t at the ward collation center and that Peter Obi’s party lacks agents who could speak on their behalf.

Because the Labour Party has no agents, he claimed, they will continue to bemoan the fact that no one will stand with them in court as a witness.
