The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has told the people of Rivers State and members of the Peoples Democratic Party that election has finally come to an end and as such, he announced that he has dissolved the Rivers State Governorship Election Campaign Council.

According to Nyesom Wike, an inauguration committee which is expected to oversee the swearing in of the governor-elect, Siminialayi Fubara, and the deputy governor-elect, Ngozi Odu, has been set up.

According to Nyesom Wike, the newly set up committee does not contain only the members of the PDP, rather, it contains different sets of people of Rivers State.

Nyesom Wike went on to state that being a member of the inauguration committee does not guarantee any position in the incoming cabinet of Siminialayi Fubara. Nyesom Wike told members of the committee to bear in mind that it is not everything that they are called up to do that they will start expecting money to come out from the government.
