Reactions Trail Dr. Sam Amadi’s Tweet As Tinubu Jets Out Of The Country

A few hours ago, renowned lawyer and political analyst, Dr. Sam Amadi came out on social media to express his displeasure at the reports making the rounds indicating that All Progressives Congress (APC) flag bearer, and President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has jetted out of the country.

For those who are not aware, Tinubu’s camp issued an official statement on Wednesday afternoon announcing that the President-elect left Nigeria for Europe on a working visit ahead of his incoming government. According to the lengthy press release, the former Lagos governor is expected to meet with potential foreign investors in the next few days while ‘fine-tuning’ the transition from the present government into his administration that will be sworn in on May 29.

Taking to his Twitter handle to react to the press statement, Amadi accused media outlets of not interrogating the motive behind Tinubu’s trip less than 20 days to his being sworn into office. Going further, the renowned lawyer wondered why the President-elect would leave the country while his victory is being challenged at an election tribunal.

He wrote; “Nigerian media is a bigger problem than Nigerian judiciary. So no one can interrogate the statement that a president-elect, less than 20 days to a possible inauguration, has gone to Europe to meet with investors, with cases against him in the tribunal

Quite interestingly, Amadi’s remarks have sparked a flurry of reactions from Nigerians online with many trooping to the comments section to share their thoughts.

While persons concurred with his assertion, others, however, disagreed with him.
