The hearing of petition submitted by Labour Party’s presidential candidate in February 25th election, Mr Peter Obi at the President Election Petitions Tribunal has been adjourned till next Wednesday, May 17.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of All Progressives Congress as the winner of February 25th presidential election, after gathering the highest number of votes, but Labour Party’s presidential candidate Mr Peter Obi was not happy with the outcome of the election and that’s why he took the matter to court.
Labour Party’s presidential campaign council spokesperson Mr Kenneth Okonkwo revealed this his official Twitter handle on Wednesday that Tribunal has adjourned Peter Obi’s petition, (the petition is against Nigeria’s President-Elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress).
It was reported that the court adjourned the hearing of the petition on the request for adjournment by parties to the petition.
Mr Kenneth Okonkwo posted on his official Twitter handle on Wednesday afternoon that;
“After a brief hearing of the matter, the court adjourned to Wednesday 17th of May, 2023, for continuation of hearing. Standing from the right are Sola Ebiseni Esq (Secretary General Afenifere), Jibrin S Okutekpa SAN, Onyechi Ikpeazu SAN, Audu Anuga SAN, Kenneth Okonkwo Esq, and Paul Ananaba SAN. I will keep you posted. We believe God for a positive outcome with your supplications to God.“
