Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), appeared at the Presidential Election Petition Court in Abuja on Thursday.
Atiku is in court to see the proceedings in his appeal challenging the result of the 2023 presidential election.
The former Vice President and the PDP are challenging Bola Tinubu of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) as the presidential election winner.
Atiku is requesting that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) revoke Tinubu’s Certificate of Return, among other things.
He came in second place in the presidential election conducted on February 25th, 2023.
The petition’s pre-hearing session was set to proceed before a five-member panel chaired by Justice Haruna Tsammani.
According to Naija , Atiku was joined by friends and well-wishers, including Senator Dino Melaye, the PDP’s gubernatorial candidate in the forthcoming Kogi State election.
Around 8:35 a.m., Atiku appeared in court. He has also requested that the day-to-day procedures on his petition be broadcast live.
