The lawmaker representing Biu/Bayo/Shani and Kwaya Kusar federal constituency and a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Hon Muktar Aliyu Betara, has expressed sadness that they were not consulted when the party was picking candidates that will become the next speaker and deputy speaker in the 10th national assembly.
While speaking, Hon Betara described the action of the party as an unfortunate one, noting that they feel betrayed by the action of the party by refusing to consult them while taking the decision.
Speaking further, he noted that they feel that their contributions are no longer recognised by the party, noting that they have given all their best, but it seems that their best is no longer needed in the party.
The APC Chieftain made this disclosure in a viral video, where he was seen addressing the leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC.
He went on and noted that he came to the National Assembly since 2007 and that this happens to be his 5th term in the House, noting that he has seen it all, because he has contested several elections without any assistant, and won the election.
It should be recalled that the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC recently disclosed that it has shared offices in the 10th national assembly. But with this agitation that is coming from the members of the party, it seems like things are not going fine within the party.
