Sowore Knocks Obi Over Obidients Attack On Adeboye

The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has described as “slimy and deceptive,” comments by the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, in which he (Obi) condemned the social media attacks by his supporters on the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, and other individuals.

Sowore noted that Obi’s strategies had backfired, citing the LP flag bearer’s reportedly leaked telephone conversation with the founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo.

In a series of tweets on Wednesday night, Obi had claimed that his supporters, popularly known as Obidients, were law-abiding citizens, alleging that the opposition parties deployed such methods to gain undue advantage and create confusion and bad blood.

Obi had said, “The use of subterfuge by people masquerading as Obidients to abuse and insult eminent personalities like Most Reverend Pastor Enoch Adeboye or anyone else is most unacceptable. Obidients are by and large, law-abiding citizens.

EFCC Arrests Ex-Power Minister, Sale Mamman

tives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested a former Minister of Power, Sale Mamman over alleged N22bn fraud.

According to competent sources, the former minister was arrested early Wednesday and was subsequently detained at the headquarters of the anti-graft agency.

The arrest is said to be in connection with the Commission’s ongoing investigation into alleged corruption in the execution of some power projects.

Primate Ayodele Replies Critics Over Prophecy On Tinubu

The Leader Of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele has replied critics on his recent prophecies on the inauguration of President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The cleric has been under fire. Some critics alleged that he has joined the camp of the APC due to his prophecy confirming that the inauguration of the president-elect will hold regardless of the court cases being treated at the election tribunal.

The critics referred to his previous prophecies against the Muslim-Muslim ticket and the presidential ambition of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that the prophet has changed his previous stand due to his recent prophecies. In a statement issued by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele affirmed that his previous prophecies on Tinubu and the Muslim-Muslim ticket still stand and that he hasn’t changed his words concerning what Nigerians will experience under the administration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Atiku Arrives Presidential Election Tribunal

Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has arrived the venue of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the February 25 presidential election, was accompanied by some party chieftains.

Former Governors Liyel Imoke (Cross River) and Boni Haruna (Adamawa) were among those who joined Atiku at the sitting.

National Chairman of the PDP, Umar Iliya Damagun, and Dino Melaye, the party’s candidate in the Kogi governorship election of November, are also in court for the hearing.

At the pre-hearing session on Tuesday, Chris Uche, counsel to Atiku and the PDP, had told the court that he had filed the necessary processes for pre-hearing.
