2023 SENATE PRESDENCY: Igbos Are Not Helping Themselves To Become Part Of National Bureau – Yerima Shettima

The leader of Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF), Yerima Shettima, has lamented over the endorsement of Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State, to become the Senate president, by the president elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and All Progressive Congress (APC) members.

However, Shettima made it known to the general public that Igbos are not helping themselves in Nigerian politics. They should be nationalistic in their approach.

Nevertheless, he stated that the Igbo people can produce a competent person that will become the Senate president in Nigeria.

I think Government should encourage national unity by carrying our brothers in the South-eastern geopolitical zone together, he said.

Furthermore, he urged the president elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and All Progressive Congress (APC) membets, to reconsider the nomination of Godswill Akpabio as Senate president, and to promote national unity.
