The senate president, Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan, has reacted to the clamor by the Labor Party and the People’s Democratic Party that the INEC results should be transmitted on BVAS. He alleges that any results captured and sent that differ from ones written somewhere else were illegal.

According to Ahmed Lawan, in the electoral act that we passed, there’s nothing like electoral transmission because transmission is when you vote and it grows reserves. What we have passed, and I can remember this vividly because I read that act when it was a bill several times, is to transfer after all the paperwork that we normally do is done. The agent and everybody’s security will have the paper, and INEC will snap the OSCAN, and OSCAN will snap the results sheet and transfer, transmit, or transfer that thing that is captured, which would be the verse of the results.

However, and for me, my understanding is that any results that were captured and sent differ from something written somewhere that one is illegal and only the quotes are not Asia that can do it, so we ask INEC to follow the electoral act.
