Badiashile’s Market Value Has Already Risen After Just 5 EPL Games For Chelsea
Most Chelsea Fans have probably never heard the name of Benoit Badiashile before the 21-year-old showed up at Stamford Bridge during the January transfer window. The French Defender was among the Players that Chelsea signed during the January transfer window as he joined them from Monaco for a fee of £30million, according to Football London.
Unlike the transfer of Mykhaylo Mudryk, Joao Felix and Enzo Fernandez that generated a lot of buzz and gathered Fanfare, the arrival of Benoit Badiashile wasn’t celebrated as much as the arrival of Mykhaylo Mudryk, Enzo Fernandez and Joao Felix.
To be fair towards the aforementioned trio, there’s no way their arrival would be swept under the rug because of their hefty transfer fee.
Chelsea paid the Ukrainian League record fee of €100million, an equivalent of £89million, to sign Mykhaylo Mudryk. Joao Felix cost them a whopping £11million for just a 6-month loan deal while Enzo Fernandez became the most expensive Player in Premier league history.
Amid all of that euphoria, there’s no way anyone is going to look in the direction of Benoit Badiashile. However, the Former Monaco Star has been solid since Chelsea signed him.
Only Enzo Fernandez has been more impactful in the Chelsea squad than Benoit Badiashile since the end of the January transfer window as the Defender has planted his root deep in Graham Potter’s starting lineup. Graham Potter was even criticized when he left Badiashile out of the UCL squad in January.
Benoit Badiashile only cost Chelsea €32.4million in January, an equivalent of £30million but his market value has already risen, according to Transfer Market.
Transfer Market, on their official website, has it that Benoit Badiashile’s market value is now €40million, after just 5 appearances in Chelsea’s Blue jersey. If he keeps up with that level of consistency, his Market value might even doubles before the end of next season.
