Channels Television reports on it’s official Facebook page that the former Governor of Edo state, Adams Oshiomhole has said that either Peter Obi of Labour Party or Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party must be lying for both of them claiming that they were victorious in the 2023 Presidential election. After the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC had declared Bola Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress as the winner of the 2023 Presidential election, Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar had held separate briefings accusing INEC of election malpractice as both of them asserted that they won the election.
However, speaking on Channels Television’s politics today, Oshiomhole said that both of the two opposition candidates were both accusing each other of rigging the election. He was quoted saying, between his Excellency Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar, one of them must be lying, this is clear considering the fact that Atiku who came second said that he was victorious, Obi who came third said that he won. They are now indirectly accusing one another of rigging each other out.
