CAF reacts after Nigeria beat Uganda in the quarter-final of AFCON to qualify for U20 FIFA World Cup

The Confederation of Africa Football popularly known as CAF has reacted after Nigeria Under 20 National team defeated Uganda Under 20 National team in the quarter final of the ongoing Africa Under 20 Cup of Nations in Egypt to qualify for the 2023 FIFA Under 20 World Cup.

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria have been one of the best teams in the ongoing Under 20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, and they have been able to secure three victories in a row.

Nigeria Under 20 National team lost 1-0 to Senegal Under 20 National team in their first game of the tournament and they defeated host country Egypt Under 20 National team 1-0 in their second game, they also defeated Mozambique Under 20 National team 2-0 before defeating Uganda Under 20 National team 1-0 on Thursday evening.

An own goal from Leganes star Ibrahim Juma gave the Flying Eagles of Nigeria a hard-fought victory over the Uganda Under 20 National team.

The victory over Uganda Under 20 National team has now helped the Flying Eagles of Nigeria to qualify for the Semi-final of the ongoing Africa Under 20 Cup of Nations and they have also booked their spot in the upcoming FIFA Under 20 World Cup.

Reacting after Nigeria defeated Uganda Under 20 National team to qualify for the 2023 Under 20 FIFA World Cup, CAF posted on their verified Twitter handle that;

“Nigeria! FIFA Under 20 World Cup bound.”

The Flying Eagles will now be looking forward to continuing their impressive performance when they play their next game.
