Chelsea Will Be Without Their Captain And 3 Vice Captains Against Leeds United On Saturday
Apart from worrying about his job based on the outcome of Chelsea’s Premier League game against Leeds United on Saturday at Stamford Bridge, Graham Potter has another crucial and big decision to make ahead of the kickoff of the game.
Graham Potter will have to choose from players that have never led Chelsea on the pitch before to Captain the West London club on Saturday against Leeds United because the club’s Captain Cesar Azpilicueta and all the club’s Vice Captains aren’t available for the game.
Cesar Azpilicueta suffered a concussion against Southampton two weeks ago at Stamford Bridge and was stretchered off the pitch during the game against the Saints. The Spanish National has left the hospital since but Graham Potter confirmed on Friday that Cesar Azpilicueta hasn’t been cleared to return to the pitch.
The club’s Vice Captain Thiago Silva suffered a knee Injury last weekend against Tottenham Hotspur while Jorginho has been sold to Arsenal in January. N’Golo Kante is also among Chelsea’s vice Captain but the Frenchman won’t also feature against Leeds United.
Mason Mount and Reece James, who have all led Chelsea in the past by wearing the Captain armband, are both unavailable for the Clash against Leeds United on Saturday.
