Dele Farotimi Replies Obidient Who Asked If They Should Occupy The Streets After Tinubu’s Victory
Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, has been declared the winner of the 2023 Presidential elections by INEC, the only authorized body by law to do so. He defeated his main opponents, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, and the Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar.
However, reacting to the declaration of Asiwaju’s victory by the INEC, a supporter of Peter Obi, the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, asked Dele Farotimi, who happens to be a member of the Obi-Datti campaign spokespersons, whether they should occupy the streets. In answer Dele Farotimi dismissed the idea of occupying the streets. He urged all supporters of Peter Obi to stay off the streets and avoid all provocations. He said;
“Power without control births tyranny, and passion devoid of purpose, brings chaos. When there’s clarity on the path forward, the campaign will speak, but for now, please stay off the streets, avoid ALL provocations, and know that they are happiest when you embrace violence”.
