How Ten Hag Could Rotate His Squad When They Face Real Betis In Spain

Despite their recent bump in form in the premier league, Manchester United are still one of the most in-form teams in Europe. The Red Devils have lost and drawn their last two premier league games respectively. However, a return to Europe could be the key to reigniting their league form.

Manchester United already have a huge advantage heading into the second leg of their Europa League tie with Real Betis. With a 3-goal advantage, it will be interesting to see how Ten Hag rotates his side.

Ten Hag’s Possible Rotated IX

Erik Ten Hag has proven to be a very tactical manager and he often makes the right decisions when it comes to making changes. Well, a couple of United players have not been in the starting eleven for some time now.

And it’s safe to say, a couple of changes won’t hurt Manchester United considering the margin of their victory last time both sides met.

Goalkeeper: David De Gea

From the look of things, Tom Heaton isn’t replacing De Gea in goal at least not in a European competition.

Defenders: Tyrell Malacia, Diogo Dalot, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw.

In defense, Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez could get needed rest. And this could see the partnership of Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw at the heart of the defence.

Midfielders: Casemiro, Fred, Bruno Fernandes.

Casemiro will serve a 4-game ban in England but he will be available for selection for Thursday’s clash. And he could be paired with Fred and Bruno.

Attackers: Wout Weghorst, Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford

In the attack, Antony could be rested and with Garnacho injured Rashford and Sancho are expected to provide support for Weghorst.

Do you think this lineup can get the job done on Thursday?
