During his interview with TVC , former Governor Ayo Fayose stated that he would never be a member of the APC when asked if he would join the party if approached. He added,
Ayo Peter Fayose: “I am not a member of the APC, and I would never, ever, ever be a member of the APC.” My belief that we as leaders must speak the truth and my respect for Asiwaju do not now compel me to join the APC. I don’t jump around between parties because that’s not how I roll. At this age, I cannot become Nigeria’s president again. What am I looking for that would motivate me to use the APC as a platform to run for office? My son ran for the last House of Representatives. So, will I have to deal with my son once more?
