‘If Tinubu’s presidency is allowed, it will result in unwarranted negative consequences’ – Ezeife
The former governor of Anambra State, Dr Chuckwuemeka Ezeife had expressed his dissatisfaction with the declaration of the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of the 202 presidential elections.
According to the report, the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, Mahmood Yakubu on Wednesday declared Bola Tinubu as the president-elect after defeating the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi in the 2023 presidential election.
Nonetheless, Ezeife disclosed that the presidency of the president-elect, Bola Tinubu should not be allowed. He said electoral illegality will not help Nigeria. He said the election results taken to court will revive the judicial system.
He said, “If Tinubu’s presidency is allowed, it will result in unwarranted negative consequences, the election results taken to court will revive the judicial system of Nigeria. Electoral illegality will not help Nigeria”.
