Liverpool locked horns with Manchester United at the Anfield in a very tensed Premier League game. The first goal of the game was scored by Cody Gakpo just before the end of the first half.

Later in the second half, Manchester United Darwin Nunez scored the second goal to make it tougher for Manchester United to equalise. In the 50th minute, Cody Gakpo scored his second goal of the game. Mohammed Salah scored his first goal of the game in the 66th minute while Darwin Nunez scored his second goal of the game in the 75th minute. Later on, Mohammed Salah scored his second goal of the game. Just before the end of the game, Roberto Firmino came on as a substitute and scored one more goal to make it 7-0 in favour of Liverpool. The game ended with Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah all scoring two goals, with Roberto Firmino scoring one.

Following his brace against Manchester United, Mohammed Salah has risen to the 10th position in the highest goalscorer list of the Premier League. He is tied at the 10th spot with Martin Odegaard (Arsenal) and James Maddison (Leicester City) with 9 goals each. However, Erling Haaland of Manchester City is still at the top of the ranking with 27 goals.
