Liverpool Midfielder Steps Up Training Ahead Of Madrid Clash
Brazilian midfielder, Arthur Melo has had an injury stricken season in England since his summer switch to the anfield arena during the summer transfer window in a loan transfer from Italian powerhouse, Juventus. The Brazian returned to first team training on the 9th day of February but has been doing double sessions several times a week, all coordinated with the club training schedule and his personal team.
The Brazilian has had a frustrating time since joining from Juventus last summer with a thigh tear limiting his involvement for the Reds this season. The 26-year old has been relegated to watch from the sidelines for majority of this season as Liverpool struggled to find form with supporters crying out for midfield reinforcements.
Liverpool have been happy with Arthur’s progress and attitude with the player believing he is finally ready to be in the first team squad as they take on Wolves later on tonight in the FA CUP and take on in-form Manchester United over the coming weekend.
Last weekend, Arthur was involved for the entirety of 90 minutes in Liverpool U21s 7-1 win over Leicester City and left the manager of the U21s, Barry Lewtas suitably impressed with his performance. This truly is a remark which Jurgen Klopp would welcome. A different face in midfield for a different approach going forward for the remainder of the 2022/23 campaign.
