Elsewhere, Liverpool on Wednesday revived their hopes of a top-four finish in the English Premier League, following their impressive 2-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Anfield Stadium.
Second-half goals from Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk sealed the crucial three points for the Reds to return to winning after their disappointing goalless draw against Crystal Palace last weekend.
