Arsenal have taken a commanding 2-0 lead over Everton at half-time in their Premier League clash, thanks to goals from Bukayo Saka and Martinelli Gabriel.

The Gunners started the game on the front foot and were rewarded for their attacking intent when Saka struck in the 24th minute with a composed finish past Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford. The young Englishman has been a bright spark for Arsenal this season and his goal was just reward for his impressive performances.

Everton struggled to get a foothold in the game and were second best for much of the first half. Arsenal’s dominance was evident once again when Gabriel Martinelli doubled their lead with a well-taken goal in the 36th minute. The Brazilian forward latched onto a through ball from Thomas Partey and finished with aplomb to put his side firmly in control.

The Toffees will need to find a way back into the game in the second half if they are to salvage anything from this encounter.
