Salah, Fofana, Gakpo: English Premier League Team of the Week on Matchday 26 Based on Ratings

  Chelsea was back to winning ways on matchday 26 as they got a narrow 1-0 win against Leeds United. Despite the margin of win, the Blues would be happy to get all three points. 

  Summer signing, Wesley Fofana, stepped up in the absence of Thiago Silva as he dominated at the back and helped Chelsea keep a clean sheet. He also scored the goal that gave the Blues all three points. His performance got him a place in the team of the week with a rating of 7.8.

 Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson was impressive against Everton as he helped his team get a 2-2 draw. The attacker scored both goals for Forest and this got him a place in the team of the week with a rating of 8.6.

  On matchday 26, Liverpool put up a scintillating attacking display to blow away Manchester United at Anfield Stadium. The Merseyside club got a 7-0 win against the Red Devils.

  This was made possible with two goals from Mohamed Salah, who became Liverpool’s highest goalscorer in the history of the English Premier League, two from Darwin Nunez, and two from Cody Gakpo. Roberto Firmino also came on from the bench to grab the seventh goal of the game.

  There were impressive performances all over the pitch for Liverpool and this saw six of their players named on the team of the week on matchday 26. The players who made the team of the week are Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andrew Robertson, Mohamed Salah, Harvey Elliot, Darwin Nunez, and Cody Gakpo.
