The Blues finally bagged a win in the competition when they hosted Leeds United at the Stamford Bridge Stadium. The West London Side who were the better side in the game managed to secure a narrow 1-0 victory over the Magpies thanks to a lone goal from Wesley Fofana.
In other games; Wolverhampton Wanderers sealed a surprising 1-0 victory over Tottenham while bottom-table Southampton narrowly defeated Leicester City 1-0 at the St Mary’s Stadium.
