We will forward the list of Govs & officials involved in electoral malpractices to ICC – Pat Utomi
Following the announcement of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the president-elect by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the February 25th election, allegations of INEC not conducting a free and fair election have emerged.
In response, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, announced that the party would contest the result in court. In a subsequent update, Labour Party Chieftain Professor Pat Utomi stated that they would forward a list of people involved in the alleged electoral malpractices to the International Criminal Court (ICC), as they have lost faith in the local justice system.
It remains to be seen whether this will result in legal action, as not only the Labour Party but also the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) have rejected the election outcome. It is important to note that fair and transparent elections are essential for a functioning democracy, and any allegations of electoral malpractice should be thoroughly investigated to ensure the integrity of the electoral process.
