Wike Breaks Silence After Tinubu’s Victory, Says He Is Thankful That Power Has Retuned To The South

The governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike has finally broken silence, days after the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu was declared the winner of the presidential election.

Governor Nyesom Wike who expressed gratitude to Nigerians over the victory of Bola Tinubu, according to Channels Television, stressed that they had stood firm to ensure that power returns back to the south, after leaving the north.

The governor of Rivers state who made this statement while he joined the governor of Oyo state in Ibadan to commission a project stressed also that history has now been made after Bola Ahmed Tinubu emerged as the president-elect of the federal republic of Nigeria.

Speaking further, he commended Nigerians who supported the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in the fight for change.

In his words…I am happy he (Makinde) is one of those that made history by making sure that power shift to the south. History has it that all of us now are aware that when power finishes from the south, it will go to the north; when it finishes from the north, it will come to the south. So, it does not need to be written in the constitution at all before it is implemented. And I thank Nigerians for standing firm to see that this issue materialise”

Recall that Governor Nyesom Wike had openly aired his decision in not supporting the presidential candidate of his party, being Atiku Abubakar after they had fallen out amongst each other.
